Albert Hanken studied at the Twente and Free University in Holland, and at Ohio State University, where he obtained his Ph.D. degree. He became an Associate Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, full Professor at the University Twente and visiting Professor at Eindhoven, both in the Netherlands.
