Saw Palmetto Berries

  • A hardy, short palm plant that grows in the subtropical climates of the Southeastern United States. The stalk of the plant has fine, sharp teeth, which give it its name.
  • According to some studies, may be effective in decreasing symptoms of an enlarged prostate, and is used alongside other herbs to treat certain prostate infections.
  • Also used for relief of cold symptoms, coughs, sore throat, and headaches, as well as as a natural diuretic and to promote relaxation.

Suggested Use: Saw palmetto berries have a distinctive aroma that is described as soapy and slightly acrid. They can be dried and cut or powdered for use in teas, tinctures, and encapsulations.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in a sealed container.
