Reishi Mushroom Slices

$13
  • A polypore mushroom that usually grows on dead or dying hardwood trees and stumps in temperate regions of the world.
  • A potent fungus that has played an important role in the traditional healing systems of China for centuries.
  • It is thought to contain hundreds of bioactive compounds that may help balance the immune system, and to have anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour, sleep-promoting, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-diabetic, anti-oxidative, anti-ageing and anti-ulcer qualities, (to name a few).
  • Reishi is known to support healthy immune system functioning.

Suggested Use: The most common method of consuming dried reishi mushrooms is to make a tea. The tea can be prepared by simmering the mushroom in water for about three hours. Reishi can also be added to soups, which should be simmered for two to three hours as well. In prepared dishes, they are most commonly used sparingly, as an accent, due to the strong, earthy flavour.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
Safety: We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using any herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
