Suggested Use: Indigenous to the Middle East and Southwestern Asia, this aromatic seed has been enjoyed for centuries in a variety of confections as well as loaves of bread and savory dishes, added to flavor herbal medicines and liquors, and often served as a digestive after meals. It is known to balance the flavors of bay leaf and cinnamon and works well in combination with allspice, cardamom, cloves, cumin, fennel, garlic, nutmeg, pepper and star anise.
