Lavandin Flower Blossoms

$8

Botanical Name: Lavandula Intermedia
Production: Lavandin flowers are a bit larger and more purple in color than lavender, with a sweet aroma and slightly camphorous undertones. Lavandin is also known as French lavender as it was originally developed for the French perfume industry. It is a cross between lavender and spike, and it blooms from early summer to late autumn.
Qualities: Lavandin oil contains between 7-12% camphor, making it a more powerful and uplifting aroma than lavender oil and therefore great for relieving cold symptoms. It can also act as a mild stimulant. The higher camphor content in lavandin oil makes it less suitable for burns but qualifies as a stronger antiseptic and insect repellent.
Common use: Lavandin is commonly used for its aromatic and antiseptic properties and therefore it is often found in cleaning products and air fresheners. Add it to baths for a rejuvenating and invigorating effect, sew into sachets to scent linens and repel moths, add to potpourri for aroma and color, or use on pet bedding and in grooming, routines to deter mites and fleas.
Storage: keeps well in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and dark location.
Safety: Not recommended for people with epilepsy. Please consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
